Welcome to our Page! - Lets play catch up!

I finally put together our family blog! Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up with it. :)
Well, to make a long story short, in the last two years, Louis and I managed to move to Lawton, Oklahoma for six months for Louis' Captain Career Course at Ft. Sill. Lawton was a real dump, but it was nice being so close to the Texas border! Then we got stationed at good ol' Ft. Riley, Kansas, which is where we plan on living for the next few years. So feel free to come and visit, we'll be here! :) We bought a beautiful home in Manhattan, Kansas. We got a dog, Tank, who is now 1 year and 3 months old. He's a handful, but keeps me company when Lou's gone. Then Louis and I got married and got pregnant. That about brings us up to date. In between all the craziness, we managed to make time for some good quality husband/wife togetherness. We went to Cancun, Mexico in July and had lots of fun, hence the pregnancy part. :) We found out we were pregnant at the beginning of August. I am currently 20 weeks along, which means I've reached the halfway mark! I've been pretty lucky so far and haven't had any problems or sickness. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next half, since it'll obviously be the hardest! :)
Unfortunately, at the end of August, I (as well as everyone else) had to say good-bye to Louis, as he went back to Iraq to complete a second deployment. It was rough saying good-bye, but I knew I would be seeing him sooner that I thought. Look at us now, we're clear in November! Next thing you know it'll be Christmas and then the new year. So, not too much longer until I see him again! For those of you who are wondering what the heck I am doing with my time here without Louis...lots of things! Like I said, time is flying. I am still working full time, we are trying to get the basement finished, come the new year, I'm going to start designing/putting together baby's nursery, I chat with Louis every moment I get, I signed up for a bunch of classes, from knitting to swimming, then there are the things I can do around the house, and then I am also trying to put together the wedding we want to have next fall. I will let you know as soon as we have an exact date, so for now, keep your October/first week of November clear for us. :) There are just some days, were I just want to relax and do nothing, but there's too much to do for that! :) Louis is doing well in Iraq. His boss is doing a good job at keeping them all busy. It might also be easier for Louis to write posts on our blog, letting us all know how he's doing, but then again, he's not a huge fan of blogs, but you never know....he could be converted to the blog side! :)
Well, I believe that about sums up the last two years. Louis and I doing great and are anxiously awaiting the sex of baby Lee! I have my ultrasound appointment this coming Friday, November 20th, so check out our blog for an update!
